[ARES-SE] Kenwood Tm-D710A configuration query

My new toy is being delivered today and I plan on configuring it tonight
with the software program and completing installation this week end.  Any
constructive advice on set ups supporting general use, ARES District 14, &
APRS would be appreciated (GPS & cabling already works with TH-D7A(G)).
