[ARES-SE] New Emergency Law "Legalizes" Amateur Radio in Texas Public Schools

Interesting new Texas law.

According to the attached article, Amateur Radio was locked out of Texas 
public schools. I don't know specifics about all school districts but 
LaPorte has always been open to amateur radio, and prior to Columbine 
LaPorte students involved with emergency services like VFD, EMS and even 
ARES / RACES were always allowed to carry pagers.

Post Columbine, LPISD relaxed the rules on cell phones in that the 
district felt that they could be a valuable method to get information 
from on campus out to emergency responders.
