Richard Driscoll, KD5URB, the NE Harris County ARES(R) EC is working
hard to test some of the Houston area repeaters for all county
coverage. Richard has scheduled a "test NET" for this coming Sunday, 2
December 2007.

Here is the information:

Date: Sunday, 2 December 2007. (That is this coming Sunday)
Time: 1900 (7:00PM)
UHF Repeater: 444.600 (+) PL 71.9
VHF Repeater: 147.000 (+) PL 103.5

There will be a net control operator on each frequency. When you have
checked in on either of the frequencies you will be directed to the
other. They will be interested in the following information:

Call sign, name and location
(If you know your Key Map page and letter use that.)
Type antenna and height
Estimated effective radiated power (ERP)

For example: If your transmitter power output is 50 watts and your
estimated coaxial cable loss was 3db and you were using a 6db antenna
your effective radiated power (ERP) would be: 50 watts - 3db cable
loss = 25 watts. 25 watts + a 6db antenna = 100 watts ERP.
