I want to thank everyone for all of their work and support concerning the
Tropical Storm Edouard.
As part of my monthly report I need to know how much time you spent working
this event. Please let me know what served agency you supported and how
many hours you spent. I would also like a brief description of what you
did.
My involvement was primarily at Transtar. I was called to come into
Transtar around midday on Monday. I arrived at Transtar by 8:30 PM and
stayed until 6:00 AM the following morning. I went home and got 6 hours of
sleep before getting back on the JSC repeater and checking for damage
reports.
If you have any lessons learned then this would be a good opportunity to
document those. I will be compiling a list of lessons learned from our
Southeast unit and presenting them to the ARES management.
Did anyone hear the hourly message on 147.000 MHz? An information
announcement was made every hour on the hour. This will probably be the
same practice used in the future.
