My involvement consisted mostly of listening to the 146.640, 146.92 and
145.290. I was able to check out and operate all my equipment, such as
handhelds and mobiles. I knew I had one mobile that would not transmit
and found a way to use it as a monitor. Worked good eventho I had to
switch the transmitter channels. The office never activiated an EOC so
my time there was mostly posting tracking charts etc. While off, before
the call to work and after return to my home, I used a handheld to
monitor the various frequencies of interest to Emergency Management, I
was able to monitor the storm progress and monitor the emergency
frequencies without having to go to the EOC.

I want to thank everyone for all of their work and support concerning
the Tropical Storm Edouard.

As part of my monthly report I need to know how much time you spent
working this event. Please let me know what served agency you supported
and how many hours you spent. I would also like a brief description of
what you did.

My involvement was primarily at Transtar. I was called to come into
Transtar around midday on Monday. I arrived at Transtar by 8:30 PM and
stayed until 6:00 AM the following morning. I went home and got 6 hours
of sleep before getting back on the JSC repeater and checking for damage
reports.

If you have any lessons learned then this would be a good opportunity to
document those. I will be compiling a list of lessons learned from our
Southeast unit and presenting them to the ARES management.

Did anyone hear the hourly message on 147.000 MHz? An information
announcement was made every hour on the hour. This will probably be the
same practice used in the future.
