I know that a number of you have done different things for the MS-150
over the years. Last year there was an "experiment" that left ...
lets say a less than satisfying taste in many hams mouths, mine
included.
This year they (we) are not duplicating that mistake.
This year hams will be communicators plain and simple. And, the
MS-150 is moving towards using the Incident Command System model for
running the event. I am tasked with putting two teams of hams of 3
maybe 4 members per team together for the purpose of SAG stop
communications. This will include not only the communications on the
MURS radios with the SAG vans but staying in touch with net control
for the event.
As always Mike, N5VCX will continue to need people to ride with the
ambulances and first responders with APRS so if you have done that in
the past please continue to help in that role. If you are interested
in working on my teams drop me a note and let me know so I can relay
that information up the chain of command. Also, you don't have to work
both days. If you can only volunteer for one day that is perfectly
fine just let me know that too!
